Yum-o yum-o! That was my dinner tonight, and it hit the spot! The last couple of weeks David and I have been getting these already cooked chickens at Trader Joes. We had it again tonight with broccoli, and David picked up some fresh corn on the cob at our local farmers market. The corn was so sweet and yummy! I think we will be having this meal again next week!
I know I plug a lot of magazines on here, but sometimes I find the articles really interesting. In the June issue of Shape Magazine they did blurb about "what your cravings really mean". I thought I would share it with you, so you can start noticing these signals that our bodies are trying to tell us.
If you crave gummy bears ( I never crave these): You need protein. If you have a hankering for sugary carbs it's a signal that you body wants fuel.
If you crave CHOCOLATE (hello meee!!): You may need magnesium. Your levels dip during your period hence that crave for chocolate during that time of the month.
If you crave french fries: You may need good fat. "Jonesing for greasy foods? You're likely coming up short on healthy fatty acids."
If you crave Salty Pretzels: You may need B Vitamins. "When your adrenal gland, which produces stress hormones, goes into overdrive, so does your desire for salt.
Interesting no?!
So I've decided since reading this that I need to take a womens multi vitamin each day with lunch, so that I am getting what I need. I am testing this right now with my period to see if it is possible to not crave sweets if I have the right nutrients. So far I have been salt and sugar crave free. Amazing. Last month I had already eaten a whole box of brownies that I made. Yes I made one of those packaged boxes in a 9x12 pan and ate the whole thing, but a very small piece that David took. Sometimes it gets bad. We are halfway through the week and everything is looking good for cravings, and the best part...I am even losing weight. I'll let you know if I break down or get any cravings. Let's just hope I don't forget to take a multi vitamin. Then my test will be ruined.
Thanks to everyone who want to see another talky blog. I've been wanting to do one especially since I have the new mac, but honestly I don't know what to say. I'll think of something. :)

Weight Loss Inspiration?

Hello everyone!
Last night I was going to blog, but then I got this annoying headache. This morning David and I had planned on going to Disneyland to check out the new Pirate's Lair (use to be Tom Sawyers island), but I woke up with an even worse headache. Today being a day off I was determined to still go to the park to check it out. I took sinus pills, tylenol, drank caffeine. None of it really worked, but I still went to Disneyland. I mean I REALLY wanted to check it out.
I'm glad I did because although the island isn't that different (they've added pirate stuff in all the caves and throughout the island including a pirate that talks and turns into a skeleton), it was still fun to go around and explore. When we were heading over there on the raft a live stunt show with Jack Sparrow was going on, so we got to see a little bit of it. After we left the island we decided to head out of the park for a nice lunch, and then leave. We didn't do much, but it was still nice to just get out and do something new.
So my headache is now gone, but it took about 2 hours after we left Disneyland for it to go away. The good thing is it never turned into a migraine.
Have you seen the new US WEEKLY? I don't usually buy these magazines, but one of my coworkers told me about the newest one. They did a thing on celebrities losing weight like Jenny McCarthy, Janet Jackson,Diana DeGarmo (remember her from American Idol?!) and others. They mainly focus on Janet Jackson (She is on the cover.), and it's called "How I kept It Off". I haven't read it yet, but I will later tonight. I always find that stuff interesting even though everyone seems to lose it the same way, I still like reading about stuff like that.
Well that's about it for today. See you all tomorrow!! :D

Awesome Sunday!

Hey everyone! As I type this post I am using my brand new mac! I am now a mac user!! So far I am loving it. My computer as you know last month got a virus and my husbands friend fixed my computer, but again lately it has been doing all the things it did before with error messages, and just rebooting itself. Basically it kept doing tons of weird things with "fatal error" messages popping up. I got sick of it. I'm sick of all the virus crap popping up. So after seeing all those Apple commercials over and over they convinced me that I needed to become a mac user. David has been a mac user for so long. He has tried to get me to buy a mac on my 2 previous computer purchases, but I was convinced that I was a pc user. Well I no longer am a member of that club, and now I've joined the mac club. Haha. So far so good. Also the best part. Looks like I can do those talky blogs through my computer. I have a built in camera and mic. Now I've just got to figure out how to use it. :D
David and I saw Pirates today. I loved it. I think it's better than the last one, which I also liked, but this one answers some questions. Barbosa freaking rules in this one!! I really loved Jack Sparrow in the first two, but I think Barbosa and Will shined in this one. Can I just say Will looked freaking hot with the bandana and the wet curly hair at the end of the movie!! :D That question is always asked...Jack or Will. I always say Jack..but now I might have to say Will. Nawww Jack. :D
Okay so all of you who saw the movie ... did you stay for the end? I hope you did because I thought it was really cool what they did after the credits. Those of you who haven't seen it yet...sit through the credits. There is a nice extra scene at the end.
So I am having a mighty fine day. Pirates, a great lunch, got a mac, now I am waiting for my yummy chicken salad to be delivered. I can't go out...I must play with my new toy! :D

CPK
Anyone ever go to CPK ( California Pizza Kitchen)? I use to not be a fan of the place, but then I tried their Grilled Rosemary Chicken Sandwich. YUMMMMMM-OOOOOOO! They use a Dijon mustard that just has this great kick to the sandwich. My other favorite...the tortilla soup. OMG it's good!! I usually eat the cup of soup and half the sandwich. Then I save the other half for work the next day with a yogurt. David and I went tonight, and that's exactly what I got. So good.Posted by Living to Feel Good at 11:09 PM 8 comments

Pirates Premiere

Haha!! This makes me laugh.
Naomie Harris aka Tia Dalma looked fantastic on the red carpet. She is so beautiful in person.PS. Betsey's eye is healing quite nicely. She has a cone over her head, but that will be off soon! :)

Product Reviews & Life

Do any of you remember when I talked about these Fiber One bars in February? Well I did a review on the Oats & Chocolate, and recently I bought the Oats & Peanut Butter ones. I thought I would share that these ones are good, but I think the Oats & Chocolate are so much better. If you are a peanut butter fan you still can't go wrong with these since they have 35% of your daily value of fiber!
So that's about it. I downloaded Itunes today (For those who don't know, my computer got a virus, now it's like I have a new computer with nothing on it). It looks so sad with no music on it. I'm gonna have to rebuild my library.
Also I have to take Betsey in tomorrow to get fixed. We would have waited a little longer for that, but we found her with part of her eye lid slashed off. She probably got in a little playful fight that turned ugly with one of the other kittens. Even with her boo boo eye she runs around and chases them. I have 4 kittens, and they can get so crazy. One minute they are running back and forth chasing each other so fast, and the next they are passed out on the bed. They make me laugh. SO I am thinking she will have to have stitches since it's part of her actual eyelid that is cut off or they will finish cutting it off. Imagine a flap of skin hanging out on your eye lid. She looks so sad, but she has a ton of energy. Anyway she will be all fixed up tomorrow.
Betsey without a boo boo eye.

Crazy About Betsey Johnson
Not a whole lot to talk about right now. I've been feeling creative lately. I just watched a thing on Betsey Johnson called Celebrity Homes on Style network, and it really inspired the heck out of me. I also just found out that Betsey has launched a home decor line that is suppose to come out in the Spring. Well it's Spring, so where the heck is it? This bedding is part of her line.
